These asymmetrical moonstone earrings are from the Stick Collection. They are made from sterling silver that is bound with fine silver. A patina is applied to darken the metal surface. Accents of 24 karat yellow gold.
Details
The moonstone earrings are about 35 mm tall (1 3/8 inch) and 4 mm wide (3/16 inch) at the widest point. The lever-back ear wires are sterling silver.
Moonstone
This gemstone is composed of feldspar layers which produce a light scattering effect called adularescence. Moonstone was thought to be created from solidified moonbeams in ancient times. It was also once referred to as “adularia”.
