Turquoise
Turquoise is a form of hydrated copper and aluminum phosphate. It tends to form in dry desert areas deep underground. Turquoise has been a part of human adornment for thousands of years. Archeological evidence suggests that Chinese artisans were carving it as long ago as 3000 years or more. Also, it is a birthstone for the month of December.

Ethiopian Opal
Opal is a multicolored precious gemstone formed by rainwater that deposits layers of silica into the cavities of underground rocks. Ethiopian opal specifically, has been available since its discovery in 1994. It is somewhat more translucent than its opaque Australian counterpart. It is also the birthstone for the month of October.
